2026 Workshops & Events

Welcome to the Hearth Room -  the Home of Blue Petal Wisdom

Knowing a plant starts with the senses. The touch, scent and vitality of the harvest. From our 350m ASL Herb Field to your kitchen table, our workshops bridge the gap between the science of the soil and the art of the apothecary.

Master the 'Seed-to-Bottle' skills you need to craft your own seasonal wellness with confidence.

Mothers & Makers

 Friday 8 May | 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM | $90.36

Location: Blue Petal HQ (The Hearth Room), Korito, NPL

This exclusive Feastival Taranaki event begins in the crisp air of our rural Herb Field at the foot of the mountain, where we will harvest the season’s final botanicals by twilight.

From the field, we move into the warmth of The Hearth Room for a guided, hands-on flow across four dedicated craft stations:

  • The Alchemist: Crafting your own Herb-Infused Vinegars.
  • The Pantry: Creating artisan Herb Feta-in-Oil.
  • The Hive: Blending Spiced Honeys for winter resilience.
  • The Sanctuary: Stirring a fresh Honey Face Mask for autumn skin.

The evening concludes around our curated tasting table, where you’ll experience our NZ Food Award-finalist Oxymels and botanical seasonings paired with local seasonal bites.

Leave with your handcrafted creations and a deeper connection to the mountain's bounty.

The Vital Glow: Fire Ciders & Immune Tonics

Practical Workshop at The Collaboration (83 Devon Street East),     Date: Fri, 22 May 5.30 to 7.30pm  (2hrs)
Fee: $95

Description: True wellness begins within. Join Martina from Blue Petal for an empowering, hands-on workshop focused on the two pillars of health: Immunity and Digestion. In the inspiring setting of The Collaboration, we will explore the ancient tradition of “Fire Cider”—a potent, spicy and sweet botanical vinegar used for centuries to stoke the digestive fire and ward off seasonal chills. This session is all about the synergy between the garden and your gut health.
In this masterclass, you will:
Craft Your Own Fire Cider: Layering “hot” botanicals like ginger, horseradish and garlic with the sweetness of honey and the zest of citrus.
The Gut-Immunity Connection: Discover why supporting your digestion is the fastest way to a resilient immune system.
The Art of the Tonic: Learn to create soothing elixirs and “shots” that make wellness a delicious daily ritual.
Botanical Wisdom: Understand the specific properties of the herbs used and how to customize your blend for your family’s needs.
This is a sensory, “chopping and changing” session where you’ll fill your own jar with a vibrant, living tonic to take home.
The Collaboration Experience: Once our elixirs are steeping, stay for an exclusive after-hours shopping spree. It’s the perfect opportunity to browse the gallery’s latest collections or stock up on Blue Petal’s signature seasonings and tonics to support your wellness journey
